At this time we are looking to fill the following positions for the upcoming year.
Included are the descriptions of duties for the positions.
1. The President shall be the Chief Executive Officer and shall have the duty to fulfill the organization’s Purpose within the framework of this Constitution and By-laws. (Requires you have been a member in good standing for two years.)
2. The Tournament Chairman shall have the duty to administer shooting events and coordinate the use of the facilities by outside organizations.
· Is responsible for running all tournaments according to the IAA and NFAA rules.
· Is present or has a representative at all tournaments. (tournament lead)
· Returns range to normal shooting condition after tournament.
· Submit a report at the board and general meetings.
· Coordinates with Awards Chairman, Target Master and Registrar.
Many of these duties are done by the person who takes the lead on a shoot.
3. The Treasurer is responsible for all funds turned over to him from any functions, dues, initiations, etc.
· Submits a monthly report
· Submits annual report showing receipts and disbursements for the calendar year.
· Supplies information for annual audit
· Prepares annual tax return.
President and Tournament Chairman and Treasurer are Board positions requiring attendance at monthly meetings held on the first Wed. of the month at 7:30pm. (Board members are dues exempt the following year.)
4. The Social Chairman:
· Schedules social functions for the year.
· Is also the fund – raising committee.
· Submits a report at regular meetings.
5. The Kitchen Chairman:
· Is responsible for getting food and supplies for shoots and events as needed.
· Arranges for people to work the kitchen during shoots.
6. The Target Master is responsible for:
· Putting up paper targets on the range and practice butts for tournaments according to the NFAA.
· Provides an adequate supply of paper targets according to the year’s shooting schedule.
· Gets board approval for purchase of supplies.
· Repair of 3D animals for tournaments and 3D range
· Is responsible for the upkeep of field paper targets
You could request help to do repairs, etc.
These positions are volunteer positions. For a detailed explanation of duties please refer to the Handbook! These are not hard and fast rules: some things are flexible.
TIME IS RUNNING SHORT AND WE HAVE MAJOR POSITIONS WE “MUST” FILL TO KEEP THE CLUB RUNNING.
